Fashion Factor has chosen the Top 10 fashion runways for the spring-summer season 2017 among the Fashion Weeks of New York, London, Milan and Paris. Criteria such as aesthetics, silhouettes, color range and styling were key to this selection. Here you will find different looks so that, no matter what your style is, you can choose from the following season, the collections that inspire you the most.

TOMMY HILFIGER
Tommy Hilfiger showed us a runway with military and sports inspirations. His nautical details were seen on jackets, coats and sweaters. The leather comes in to give a touch of rock ‘n’ roll to the collection just as the use of transparencies in dresses gives it a hippie chic air, perfect for a Preppy style woman. We must highlight the presence of Gigi Hadid, his model and favorite muse, who collaborated with the design of the collection.
Despite being faithful to the brand’s colors -white, blue and red-, the collection exhibits other tones such as brown, beige and black. Among the key pieces, the satin or woven bomber jackets stand out. Finally, coats in different lengths, with nautical inspiration, and oversized sweaters, were modeled down the runway with authority.
Finally, in regards to the accessories, fringed scarves with prints related to the theme, are essential. The use of over-the-knee socks, reinforce the preppy style of the brand. Last but not least the brand’s must-have nautical-inspired appliqués.

For this season, Oscar de la Renta offered us in New York, a collection for the Romantic style woman. Despite not having a concise inspiration, the well known and beloved silhouettes of the house, like the peasant dress, appeared. Undoubtedly, white and black are the stars, accompanied by red, gold, and a touch of pink, green and blue. In the collection dresses in different lengths and designs stand out as key pieces. It uses transparencies, pleats, knits and lace. Also, dresses with embroidered details and feathers, for different occasions. With regard to accessories, these come down to just belts in different materials, some jewelry and flat sandals.

BURBERRY
Inspired by Virginia Wolf’s novel Orlando, Burberry presented an eclectic collection in London. The layering of garments and materials, like lace over printed garments, give a touch of innovation to both the Elizabethan and the 20’s inspiration, referents that always seduce a Romantic style woman.
We saw colors like mustard, different tones of blue and green, as well as burgundy and black. In the collection prevailed flowy skirts, dresses, and tops with high necks and in lightweight materials; also, wide coats and trousers. Ankle boots with a military air, bags with thick and colorful chains, accompanied by thin belts, are the accessories for this collection.

A fusion between art and geometry, that is what Anya Hindmarch exhibited with her collection Circulus in London. Her offering mixes handcrafted techniques with the latest technology to create complex designs in leather, both in garments and accessories. It is a perfect offering for a Trendy style woman, where neoprene jackets and coats are the stars of the show. Lilac, neon green, mustard, white and magenta dazzled in this collection. Without a doubt, bags in different shapes, sizes and designs, were defining on the runway. If you also add the footwear, the look for the following season will be particularly interesting. For example, sneakers with graphic prints and sandals with leather embellishments.

GIORGIO ARMANI
Giorgio Armani returns with its rigorous and elegant designs for its spring-summer 2017 collection. Floral prints, iridescent textures and fluidity in the fabrics are, in short, the essence of this runway. Beautiful cocktail and evening dresses, accompanied by blazer jackets, perfect for a Madam Glam style woman. Gray, different tones of blue and crimson accents, were chosen by Armani for this collection. Oversized hats worn on the back, sunglasses and small bags are the accessories that complete the look of this sophisticated woman for the next season.

An explosion of color in this spring-summer 2017 collection, in Milan. The Italian firm updates the past with a mix of themes inspired by the70’s, the Renaissance period, punk and China, as well as a mixture between masculine and feminine. This collection presented by the brand is perfect for a Trendy style woman with character, who likes to take risks. The key pieces from this runway are masculine cut suits in denim or tweed, as well as ruffled dresses in chiffon. Tones such as black, green, blue, yellow, red, pink and beige were highlighted in the offering. In the complements, we saw scarves, tied on the neck and on the head, and sunglasses of different sizes and designs. Also, bags and fans with the logo of the Italian fashion house.

A proposal full of femininity in which sensuality is explored through gypsy dresses, perfect for a Bohemian style woman. Transparencies and ruffles are the predominant textures in this collection, we see them in baggy garments such as off-the-shoulder blouses and dresses. As for color, black and white are the main ones, accompanied by purple, navy blue and red. Leather belts were the key accessory on the runway, we saw up to three of them fasten together at the waist. Here we can discern the look of the Bohemian style woman of of the following season.

ALEXANDER McQUEEN
After a trip through the Shetland Islands, Sarah Burton, creative director of the brand, showed a collection inspired by the Island’s Celtic tradition and landscapes. A work in which the delicacy of embroidery and lace is contrasted with the roughness of leather. In other words, the punk spirit materializes in bustiers, dresses and jackets. Furthermore, the range of colors included black and ivory with accents of red and blue.
Finally, military boots, with studs, and chokers, were the accessories that completed the looks of this collection, perfect for a Trendy style woman.

A revolutionary proposal inspired by fencing and gender equality was shown in Paris. This is evident in the uniforms that seem to blur the boundaries between the masculine and the feminine. An ideal collection for a Trendy style woman: innovative silhouettes and basic pieces like printed t-shirts. Embroidered tulle skirts, dressed with bustiers and different types of jackets, were the main pieces of this fashion runway. The range of colors was led by white, black and red. As for the accessories, we saw small bags with thick straps and thin chokers. Flat and sporty shoes, lace-up knee-high boots and black heels, completed the looks of this collection.

A collection in which masculine and feminine elements are combined. The mixture of them makes it possible to cover the feminine silhouette with an air of sophistication and sensuality. It is an ideal proposal for a Contemporary Classic style woman. Vertical stripes and floral prints are some of the highlights from the runway; they match with a small range of colors including black, white and royal blue. Dresses of different lengths in materials such as silk and satin also stood out. On the other hand, slim-fitted or dis-structured blazers were key in the runway. Small leather handbags, with short straps, and embellished flat sandals were essential details of this exhibition.
